Please be very careful and vigilant. If it is movable and has value keep it under wraps! The security of plots is the responsibility of plot holders. Leave nothing on show especially wheel-barrows as they are used to transport stolen property and report any suspicions to a committee member.

jared Davies on plotPLOT INSPECTIONS.
Plots to be at least 3/4 cultivated. No rubbish to be left on plots. Woody, dry material, matted grasses, tough weed roots, etc will not rot down, so please take to Kimpton Lane. Composting weeds in flower and seed results in weeds being recycled.
1 chickweed and 1 speedwell plant produce 2,200 seeds each which remain viable for at least 8 and 6 years respectively. Free compost available at Kimpton Lane Dump.

Guidelines provided by Sutton council for allotmenteers are here, offering sensible advice for your safety and health, such as how to avoid contracting Salmonella and getting your Tetanus jabs updated.

Approximate annual calendar of planting times - 'approximate' due to climate changes, seasons later than usual etc, so a planting margin of a couple of weeks before and after at least should be taken into consideration. Follow experienced gardeners.

Did you know that aspirin is said to keep bugs at bay in the greenhouse? Simply spray plants with an aspirin wash and they are bug free!

To stop Club Root in its tracks put a piece of rhubarb in the hole before planting brassicas.
